Privacy at PulseMS
[DRAFT — this summary must be replaced by a privacy policy reviewed by a lawyer before launch.]
- Your email address and sign-in details are kept by our authentication provider, separate from your public profile. Posts only ever show your username.
- If you tell us you are a patient or caregiver, that is health data under Article 9 of the GDPR. We only store it with your explicit consent, and only use it to show a badge next to your posts and votes.
- Medical professionals' licence numbers and uploaded documents are visible only to our admins. Documents are deleted once a decision is made.
- Our account and community data is hosted in the EU.
- If you allow analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, traffic sources and interactions with published research, including time spent reading and clicks on source links. Google receives research identifiers and categories, but not your email, account role, community posts or on-site search text. This analytics data is processed by Google and may be processed outside the EU. Analytics is optional; you can decline it or withdraw your choice through Analytics preferences in the footer. Declining keeps Google Analytics from loading; withdrawing stops further tracking and removes its cookies on this site.
- You can withdraw consent or delete your account at any time from your settings. Deleting your account erases your identity and votes, and replaces the text of your posts and comments with “[Content deleted by user]”.
